Untangling the Past: Clearing the Path for Future Success

The other day, I was speaking with someone on the topic of relationships and realized that what we were talking about also relates to business.⁣

You see, this person was getting back into the dating scene so they could attract a new partner.⁣

They desperately wanted a new relationship.

Something I could see was going to be a problem was that the connection to their ex-partner was still there in the background [no kids involved].⁣

This was someone they’d been with for over a decade, in an on-again-off-again cycle.

Recently, they had broken things off and decided that this time it was going to be different.

They were not getting back together.

But, because their connection had been so strong and gone on so long, they wanted to keep their friendship going.

So, former lovers now trying to be friends... which was fast becoming awkward and frustrating.

Hence, our conversation.

I said, “Sure, you can stay friends, of course. BUT, if you choose to keep your former flame active in your experience, be prepared to attract a certain kind of person to you.

Versus if you nip things in the bud properly and just move on with your life with a fresh start.”⁣
